Visitation: Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 3rd at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. , and also on Thursday, December 4th at St. John Lutheran Church, Browns Corner from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m.
Marion I. Franke, 80, W3495 Decora Road, Horicon, WI, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Mayville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Jan. 29, 1928, in Horicon, the daughter of August and Irene Graf Dewitz.
On Jan. 31, 1945, she was married to Harold E. Franke at St. John Lutheran Church, Browns Corner.
Together with her husband, she farmed in the township of Hubbard for 63 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Browns Corner, and she enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Franke of 63 years; her children, Bonnie (Don) Mengel of Iron Ridge, Ken Franke of Horicon, Dan Franke of Waupun, Tom (Diane) Franke of Lomira, Tammy (Steve) Blexrude of Horicon, Jim (Patty) Franke of Horicon and John Franke of Horicon; two sisters-in-law, LaVerne Frank of Hartford and Susie Dewitz of Mayville; one brother-in-law, Vernon Sarauer of Fond du Lac; special family friend, Cheryl Moldenhauer; her grandchildren, Debra Schwoch, Mark (Missy) Shepard, Patti Garcia, Kevin (special friend Jenny) Franke, Amy (Clint) Williams, Sunshine (Matt) Mikulak, Katie (Jesse) Kreis, Tyler Franke, Eric Franke, Jason Blexrude, Heather (Phil) Kurzer, Preston Franke and Parker Franke; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Amber, Kara, Beau, Amanda, Aaron, Alec, Lauren, Griffyn, Maddelyn, Lillyn and Wyatt. She is also survived by her dog, Tiger; and her cat, Meetzi. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Esther, Alice and Eileen; one brother, Walter; one daughter, Diane; two grandchildren, Amber and Michael; and a great-grandchild, Melissa.
