I was privileged to have Mrs. Wheeler as my 'gym' teacher throughout grade school and middle school. I cannot recall her ever getting truly upset at anyone, even when we gave her more than enough reason. She always had a ready smile and loved to see kids learning and having fun.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Elaine was my daily dose of sunshine everyday I came to the Charleston House to see my dad, we would sit and talk on the comfy couches or over supper almost daily. Her smile would warm my heart and she would assure me to never worry about my dad because she was there watching over him, and helping the staff take care of him. I am going to miss that special lady so much.

Heart felt condolences. "Mrs. Wheeler" was a bright spot way back in my St Peter grade school days. In more recent years, I found it surprising she still remembered me from those school days. I will always remember her great smile, fun loving personality, and genuine concern for people. Bless you Mrs. Wheeler.

I met Elaine when I moved to Beaver Dam and joined St. Katharine Drexel Parish. Later I lived in her neighborhood. She was a great lady, a good sense of humor, concerned about her family and community, and willing to generously give her time to others. I will miss her. You can be so proud of the life she lived. A great lady indeed.

I was saddened to hear of Mrs. Wheeler's passing. She was my favorite PE teacher at St. Pete's! She was so much fun and such an encouraging teacher! My favorite memory is climbing the rope and touching the ceiling in St. Pete's gym and Mrs. Wheeler cheering me on the entire way up and down. She was the Best! Love and prayers to her family and friends who love and will miss her.

When I visited Tuesday, I forgot to thank Elaine for being a great friend making me laugh so much in the teachers' lounge, the carpool, or when we drove together going to retiree lunches. Will miss her humor and her warmth.
