John A. Hepp

John A. “Jack” Hepp, 85, of Beaver Dam passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Jack was born the son of Elmer and Florence (Mlodzik) Hepp on June 27, 1933 in Lost Lake, WI. He was married to Carol J. Attleson on September 4, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lost Lake. Jack originally worked as a cheesemaker and later owned a milk route and farmed in the area. Jack was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish in Beaver Dam. He competed in horse shows with his daughters. Jack later participated with a team of Percheron horses in local horse pulls as well as local tractor pulls with his John Deere B tractor. Jack was the kind of man that would be willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. Jack is survived by his children: Dennis Hepp (special friend, Carrie Sieja) of Beaver Dam, Denise Rochwite of Beaver Dam, Donna (Brian) Schmitt of Beaver Dam, and Diane (David) Schultz of Columbus; five grandchildren: John Rochwite, Claire, Jack, and Jesse Schultz, and Alexandria Hepp; his sister, Mildred Johnson of Fort Atkinson; close family friends, Jake and Kathy Schmucki of Beaver Dam; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol on August 24, 2018; his sister, Mary in infancy; and his brothers: Robert and Clarence “Dick” Hepp. A visitation will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. (noon) at church. The Rev. Michael Erwin will officiate. Interment will take place at Leipsig Cemetery, township of Beaver Dam.
