Dianne Mae LaHaye

Dianne M. LaHaye, age 73, of Beaver Dam, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at her home. There will be a memorial gathering at the Watermark in Beaver Dam on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a brief memorial service at 5:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date at Highland Memory Gardens. The former Dianne Mae Peterson was born on September 15, 1943 in Beaver Dam to Martin and Clara (Teletzke) Peterson. She was united in marriage with Adolf LaHaye and they raised their family in the Reeseville area. Dianne was a compassionate caretaker, not only for her family, but also working for homecare organizations. She spent a number of years caring for Eloise Dries, always holding a special place for her in her heart. Caring for others took a toll on Dianne physically, and she had to discontinue her work earlier than she would have liked to. Dianne was a devoted Christian and was a past member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reeseville. Survivors are her children, Cheryl Peterson of Waupun, Michael (Brit) LaHaye of Phoenix, AZ, Mark (Juanita) LaHaye of San Diego, CA, and Peter (Mary) LaHaye of Marquette, MI; grandchildren, Jade and Kara Duguay, Eric and Nicholas LaHaye, Celena Toves, and Marten LaHaye, and Alexis, Bernadette, and Chloe LaHaye; sister, Shirley Ekus; sister-in-law, Dorothy Peterson; longtime companion, Joe Kloostra; best friend, Lois “Bucky” Wright; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2001; brother, Frank Peterson; and sister, Marjorie Schneider.
