Marie Florence Persha, age 94, of Iron Ridge, WI passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Marvin’s Manor in Horicon. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 26 at 4:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mayville.Marie was born the daughter of William and Anna (Kollmansberger) Adelmeyer on November 22, 1921 in Mayville. On February 24, 1942 she was married to Emil G. Persha at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville, WI. Marie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and Daughters of Isabella. In her spare time, Marie enjoyed nature while gardening, canning, and taking care of her flowers, especially her African Violets. She also enjoyed music whether it be Johnny Cash or the Don Peachy Band. She will also be fondly remembered for the baking she did for her family. Marie is survived by her children- Judy (Don) Butler of Horicon, Ronald Persha of Horicon, and James (Kathryn) Persha of Iron Ridge. Her grandchildren- Michael (Connie) Butler, Randal Butler, Craig Persha, Jodi Zitlow, Chad (Sarah) Persha, Rachel (Skyler) Geschke, Nathan (Kelly) Persha and Kendall (Jacqueline) Strysick. Her great grandchildren- Sabrina, Amanda, Nick, Brady, Blake, Jonathan, Whitney, Mia Louise, Isabella Marie, and Alexis. Her sisters in law- Mary Gittel of Hartford and Katherine Butina of La Crosse. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emil on June 23, 2009, daughter Marilyn on July 12, 2010, sisters- Vera Nienow, Rose Schmidbauer, Margaret Neu, and Lucille Weidig, brothers- Ernst and Ervin.
