David Brandenburg left a message on August 31, 2017:

I was classmates with Steve at Beaver Dam and although I didn't share any classes with him I would talk to him in the hall or on the bus. I remember clear as day his big smile and wave and how he would say "Hello Ladies" to groups of girls talking in the hall. The Lord didn't make people any nicer than Steve. My sympathies and prayers to you.
