Sharren E. Wendler, age 82, of Brownsville, passed away at her Redgranite home on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
In honoring Sharren’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
Sharren was born on February 4, 1943, to Earl and Gladys (Fischer) Schultz in Beaver Dam. She graduated from Mayville High School in 1961. Sharren was united in marriage to Ronald Wendler on July 6, 1963, at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville.
Prior to Sharren’s retirement, she was the owner of a tavern in Byron and also worked at Bauer Feed and Grain in Byron. She previously worked for R.E. Phelon in Lomira as well as Lomira Piggly Wiggly. Sharren enjoyed working in the community and getting to know others.
The outdoors provided much beauty and relaxation to Sharren. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and tending to her flowers. Sharren passed time crocheting and sewing and loved to cook for others. Friday Fish fries and an occasional Old Fashioned were a weekly treat where Sharren could catch up with others.
Sharren is survived by her husband Ronald Wendler; her son Jerry Wendler; three grandchildren: Josey, Corey, and Michael; ten great- grandchildren; and her sister LoRae Zimmel. Sharren is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Sharren was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister Karren Kelly; and her brother David Krutke.
