Shirley A. Wade, 92, of Beaver Dam passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at New Day Memory Care of Germantown.
Shirley was born on September 15, 1933 in Randolph to Albert and Laura (Ferge) Dumke. She was a 1951 graduate of Randoph High School. On February 23, 1952, Shirley was married to Jerome “Jerry” Wade in Randolph. She along with her husband Jerry, ran the Wade Shoe Store in Beaver Dam until their retirement in 1990.
Shirley was a member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She loved cooking and baking. Shirley also enjoyed being outdoors walking, biking, or taking care of her flower gardens. She loved being a grandmother and was very involved in her grandchildren’s lives.
Shirley is survived by her daughter Carol (Kevin) Hein of Germantown; grandchildren: Andrew (Emily) Hein of Menomonee Falls, Christopher (Dayna) Hein of Milwaukee, Katelin (TJ) Rodee of Glendale, Allison (Matt) Arn of Black Earth, and Rachel Wade of Tucson, AZ; great grandchildren: Madelyn, Laney, and Rosalind Hein, Hudson and Hayden Rodee, and Lydia and Eleanor Arn; her siblings: Joyce Nordness and Dennis (Mary) Kaschub; sister-in-law Carol Abel; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father Charles Kaschub; husband Jerry in 2012; son David in 2021; brother Melvin (Rose) Dumke, brother-in-laws Don Nordness, Julian Jovle, Bruce Wade, Duane Wade, Delbert Kasmiski; and sister-in-laws Norma Jovle, Delores Wade, Donna Kasmiski, and Rose Dumke.
A visitation will be held at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Philip Heyer will officiate. Interment will take place at Randolph Cemetery, Randoph, WI.
