Alfred “Bud” Affeldt Jr

Richard 'Klutch' Kluetzman and his wife Ellie are very sorry for your loss. Bud was a great pool player and all-around good guy. We would have come to the visitation had we known in time.

Affect family, sorry to hear of your loss of your father and husband! Bud worked on my cars more than once! Sorry for your loss!

Marilyn and family, sending are thoughts and prayers. Remembering the good times at Michigan races with you guys and Teeter. Now Teeter and Bud can reminisce. Hold all the great memories close in your heart, God bless you all.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Affeldt family. I have had the honor and great pleasure of knowing and experiencing Bud for the past 45 years or so and feel that I am the better for it. I have admired his talent's and thoroughly enjoyed his humor and wit. I have had the privilege of fetching and consuming many a beer with bud over the years. He will be greatly missed by me and I'm sure all who loved him. My apologies to the Affeldt family for being unable to attend the funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time. I remember when I was younger and lived in Beaver Dam Bud would fix my car and not charge me much. He and my dad Bill Schmid were great friends back when I was a kid. Sending hugs, he was a great man!

Bud will be missed dearly. He was a good friend that was able to teach this old dog new tricks. Bud always had time to help out when you would have questions on how to fix an old car.

Our condolences to Marilyn and the entire family. Bud and I met at the Dodge County Antique Tractor Show nearly twenty years ago. We shared an interest in tractors, engines, etc. I went out to his shop numerous times for a "consultation" with Bud. I enjoyed talking tractors with him and he also had a great knowledge of local history. His knowledge and experience as a mechanic is well known. He was always willing to share his knowledge. Talking with him at his shop was kinda like going to mechanic school. To this day when starting a repair project I often think "now... how would Bud do this?" Learning from him gave me confidence to tackle repairs that I probably would not have attempted had I not known him. Our sons,Dan and Matt,also enjoyed helping him with the dyno at the tractor show. Many more stories and memories could be shared here, enough to fill a book. To sum it up we are very thankful to known Bud and learn from him. He will be greatly missed.

Cathy & Wade (Mueller)---it was a joy to know Bud. We both loved visiting with him in his shop & seeing the projects he had going. His work was always meticulous. We & our tractors will always remember Bud !
