Alice was born on August 30, 1935 in Portage, Wisconsin to Arnold and Eleanor (Krueger) Paul. She spent her childhood in the Rio & Pardeeville area where she had fond memories of the many friends she had growing up. Later she moved to Randolph where she graduated from Randolph High School in 1953. Alice married Theodore “Ted” “Kelly” Yaroch on February 27, 1960 in Cambria, Wisconsin.
Ted and Alice purchased a rural bar and restaurant on highway 73 in the 60’s, known as Kelly’s Bar. This is where they remained for the next 60 plus years. She was proud of her accomplishment of being able to operate a respectable family business where she could have all of her children and grandchildren be a part of. Alice lived her life putting God first and it showed through in the way she raised her kids and ran her business. She loved her family with all her heart and was so supportive and proud of all their accomplishments. Alice had a knack for hiring good, loyal staff at the restaurant and there is a great deal of thanks that goes out to all of the “Kelly’s girls” for being devoted employees and friends.
Alice enjoyed trips to Alaska and Hawaii, as well as Iceland and Germany. She also traveled often with her church groups. Alice was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam and served as a lady’s aid member for a while. Nothing was more important to Alice than her faith and the love for her family. Life will be different without her, but we know she is now at peace with the Lord.
Alice is survived by her husband Ted “Kelly” Yaroch of Beaver Dam; children, Lois (Ken) Firary of Randolph, Lori (Mike) Zimmerman of Randolph, LuAnn (John) Loeck of Beaver Dam, and Matt (Sue) Yaroch of Fall River; grandchildren, Katie (Tim) Caine, Ryan (Courtney) Zimmerman, Brandon (Alexus) Zimmerman, Nick Yaroch and Nate Yaroch; great grandchildren, Bella, Mason, Lilli and Delaney, Zoey, Jayda and Mya, Cooper and Charlie; brothers, Phil (Jeanie) Paul, Dale (June) Paul and Dave (Jackie) Paul; sister-in-law, Marge Carlin; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kelly and Elsie Yaroch; sister, Delores (Rodney) Sabatke; brother, Richard (Charlene) Paul; sisters-in-law, Betty Paul and Virginia (Roger) Stiemsma; brother-in-law, George Carlin; other relatives and friends.
