Allen Reginald Heim, age 58, passed away on March 12, 2025. He was born on April 23, 1966, in Ripon, Wisconsin, to Reginald and Eva (Hall) Heim.
Allen graduated at the top of his class from Beaver Dam High School in 1984. His passion for learning led him to the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in anthropology with minors in physics and mathematics. He furthered his education at the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a degree in electrical technology and also obtained a computer programming degree from MATC. A member of MENSA International, Allen possessed an exceptional intellect and a deep curiosity about the world around him.
Allen was a gifted engineer and builder. He had a remarkable mechanical mind and could design and create anything he set his mind to. His love for science and creativity shaped much of his life. He was the programmer for Supreme Manufacturing in Beaver Dam. He found joy in traveling to Europe, where he admired the architecture and culture, always looking forward to retirement as an opportunity to explore even more of the world. In his free time, he enjoyed biking and exploring scenic trails.
Allen’s intelligence, creativity, and adventurous spirit will be remembered by those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who shared in his journey.
Allen is survived by his parents, Reginald Heim of Winter and Eva Hiem of Beaver Dam; brothers, Kevin (Holly) Heim of Oconomowoc and Eric (Kathy) Heim of Beaver Dam; niece and nephews, Spencer and Bryce, Alyssa and Logan; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The memorial gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Carolyn Sellers Rizzo officiating.
