Arlien Josita Bauer, of LeRoy, passed away at her home on Monday, November 10, 2025.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Arlien will be held at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation for Arlien will be held at church on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Following the service, interment will take place at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in LeRoy.
Arlien was born on July 21, 1935, in Pierz, Minnesota, the daughter of Joseph and Ida (Feucht) Medek. She was united in marriage to Eugene Bauer on August 22, 1959, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy.
A lifelong member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church and a former member of the Christian Mothers, Arlien’s unwavering faith in God guided every aspect of her life. She lived each day with kindness, compassion, and a deep love for others, embodying the faith she cherished throughout her life.
Arlien worked for many years at Grande Cheese, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Outside of work, she enjoyed playing cards and was an excellent baker, the cookie jar was always full of fresh chocolate chip cookies.
More than anything, Arlien treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
She is survived by her children: Lisa (Stanley) Ruplinger, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Bauer, Linda (Mike) Garriety, and Loni (Mike) Schmidt; her grandchildren: Kendra (Frank) Knaus, Kelsey (Matt) Brandenburg, Kayla (Tyler) McConville, Karmen (Tyler) VanderGalien, Sidney (Jared) Straka, Jesse, Riley, and Amelia Bauer, Mitchell, Tyler, and Camryn Garriety, and Sabrina Schmidt; her seven great-grandchildren: Zeke, Isaac and Anton Knaus, AJ and Brooks Brandenburg, Hunter VanderGalien, and Leon McConville. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Marion Ruddy and Patty Sternat, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Arlien was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eugene in 2020; and her siblings Tony, Erna, Edward, and Delrose.
Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the team at Epic Care Solutions, especially Patty, Makenzie, Rachel, and Jaiden. Your kindness and the wonderful care you gave our mother will never be forgotten.
