I am saddened to hear of Art's passing and my deepest sympathy to the entire family. I spent many hours in discussions about youth and family programs with Art when I was Family Living Educator in Dodge Co. His sense of humor and care free nature always brought a smile to my face. He will be missed by many.

I am so sorry to hear about the death of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It's been many years since I last saw him (since we were kids) but I remember him as always being so nice. May happy memories be with you. Marilyn (Schears) Schumacher, friend of Laurel

Art will be missed by many- I worked a few years with him as a 4-H agent and he was also a loyal WALSAA member, always a strong supporter of the CALS. A real great guy that will be missed by many! Rick and Peggy Daluge

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Jim Rutledge left a message on September 28, 2015:

I am sorry to hear of Art's death. He was an exceptional educator and friend. I was one of his 4-H member from 1959 to 1967. I chose to follow in his footsteps and became 4-H Agent in Walworth Co in 1971. Art taught me the value of teen leadership and how to empower youth long before the rest of the world discovered youth adult partnerships. He was a great mentor. I eventually got my doctorate and spent 15 years as state 4-H Leader in OK and OR. For past 11 years I've been director of OK 4-H Foundation. Still working and using lessons learned from Art Brehm now 44 years.

As one of Art's "4-H" kids I cannot tell you how much he influenced my life. He will always hold a very special place in my heart. Memories are wonderful things....they never leave us. May he rest in eternal peace and may the perpetual light shine upon him and actually outshine that memorable smile.
