Bernadine E. Zuehlke

Bernadine E. Zuehlke, 86, of Beaver Dam passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Beaver Dam. Bernadine was born the daughter of Carl and Arletta (Broderdorf) Vick on July 10, 1930 in Columbus, WI. She was a graduate of Columbus High School. Bernadine was married to Emroy Zuehlke on April 4, 1959 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in Columbus. Bernadine farmed alongside her husband Emroy and took pride in caring for her family and her household. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Bernadine is survived by her four children: Patricia (Michael) Frankenstein of Beaver Dam, Glenn Zuehlke of Beaver Dam, Brenda (Keith) Schweikert of New Holstein, and Gordon (Laura) Zuehlke of Beaver Dam; her seven grandchildren: Eric Frankenstein, Andrea (James) Mieritz, Megan Frankenstein, Jamie Schmitt, Kyle Schmitt, Julie Zuehlke, and Tyler Zuehlke; her great-grandchildren: Hunter, Aubrey, and Rexlyn; her siblings: Waldamar “Bill” Vick of Columbus, Delmar (Carol) Vick of Columbus, Donna Stegner of Beaver Dam, Norbert Vick of Beaver Dam, and Joan Marks of Columbus; her sister-in-law, Judith Vick of Columbus; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emroy in 1996; her sister in infancy, Jeannette; and her brother, Wilbert. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. The Rev. Philip Heyer will officiate. Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton, WI. Memorials may be directed to St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
