Beth E. Ingalls-Leisses, 86, of Beaver Dam passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Bay Harbor Assisted Living in Beaver Dam.
Beth was born on September 8, 1937 in Danbury, WI to Merrill P. and Alice O. (Myer) Ingalls. She was a 1955 graduate of Webster High School, Webster, WI. She was married to David H. Leisses on November 20, 1999 at Trinity Church – United Methodist in Beaver Dam. Beth was employed with Burnett County Human Services for 14 years and later with Dodge County Human Services for 32 years until her retirement.
Beth was a member of Trinity Church – United Methodist in Beaver Dam. She was active in her churches and sang in choir from age 10 until 75. Beth loved music, both listening and playing. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and knitting. She was a first cousin to Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of “Little House on the Prairie” and spoke to schools and other organizations on the “travels of the Ingalls family.”
Beth is survived by her three stepchildren: Kate (Tim Hartwig) Leisses of Denver, CO, Patricia (Brian) Hein of St. Charles, MO, and William (Alison) Leisses of Fond du Lac; 11 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband David in 2012; stepdaughter Mary in 2019; and a sister in infancy.
A memorial gathering will be held at Trinity Church – United Methodist in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 12 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.
Memorials may be directed to a charity in Beth’s name.

My Dear Beth, We met as volunteers for Church Health Services. She and I were "two peas in a pod". Many memorable moments and good times ensued throughout the years. May the "honorable" life just ended, sustain and comfort family. My sincere sympathy. I fell at home and cannot attend services.
