Betty Jane Rasmussen

August 15, 1924 - October 20, 2009

Betty J. Rasmussen, age 85, died on October 20, 2009 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at St. Stephen”s Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. The funeral service will follow on Friday at 11:30 AM at church with Rev. Paul Stratman officiating. Entombment will be at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Town of Empire, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin.

The former Betty Jane Cudworth was born on August 15, 1924 in Fond du Lac to Arthur and Mabel (Buntrock) Cudworth. On May 28, 1945 she was united in marriage with Kenneth J. Rasmussen in Fond du Lac. Betty lived in the Fond du Lac area most of her life, until moving to Beaver Dam in 1996. While in Fond du Lac, she worked for Kroger”s for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling. Betty was a member of St. Stephen”s Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Carol (David) Johnson of Beaver Dam, sons, Mark (Sandy) Rasmussen of Westfield, and James Rasmussen, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a brother, Kenneth (Mary) Cudworth of Fond du Lac, a sister-in-law, Irene Cudworth of Appleton, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth on January 19, 1998, her brother and two sisters, Gerald Cudworth, Donna Liedke, and Darlene Gross.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Betty”s name to St. Stephen”s Organ Fund, 300 West St., Beaver Dam, WI, 53916.
