Betty K. Willihnganz, 95, of Beaver Dam passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Eagles Wings in Beaver Dam

There will be a memorial gathering for Betty at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on June 10, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Will Arnold will celebrate the Mass. Inurnment will take place at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Betty Kathryn was born on January 17, 1929, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Frank and Kathryn (Janz) Andercheck. She graduated from St. Peter Parochial School in 1943 and from Beaver Dam High School in 1946. On June 18, 1949, she was united in marriage with Cletus Willihnganz at St. Peter Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Betty worked at Newton & Wenz Department Store and Beaver Dam Wholesale before becoming a mother. She developed a seamstress business while the children were growing up, then worked at Briese Furniture Store sewing draperies. Betty was a life-long member of St. Peter Catholic Church, currently St. Katharine Drexel Parish where she was active with the Catholic Women, was past president of the St. Peter Band Guild, and sang in the New Life Choir for years. Betty was also active with the American Red Cross, the Beaver Dam Scholarship and Meals On Wheels.

Betty is survived by her sons: Charles (Linda) of Rochester, MN, John (Carol) of Oshkosh, Jim of Menasha, Michael (Ruth) of Westminster, CO, and Gary (Cathy) of Scottsdale, AZ; nine grandchildren: Dr. Katie (Dr. Michael) Willihnganz-Lawson of Minneapolis, Jennifer (Joe) Tenley of Rochester, MN, Jeffrey (Rina) Willihnganz of Minneapolis, MN, Kristin (Bryan) Burgert of Oshkosh, Rachael Willihnganz (boyfriend, Ricky) of Denver, CO, Lauren Willihnganz of London, Madison Willihnganz (fiancé, Chris Young) of Denver, CO, Zachary Willihnganz of Sacramento, and Connor Willihnganz of Scottsdale, AZ; ten great-grandchildren: Mariah and Chet, Caden, Asher, and Savannah, Beckett, Greyson, and Liam, and Eve and Niall; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband in 2017.
