So sad to hear of Char's passing; it's been years since we worked together at Jefferson School--but the memories are always with me. Char just had a way of cheering me up whenever I walked into the classroom where she was working. That smile and laugh of hers was special for both teachers and students. My last couple of years of teaching (which were Char's last years, too) she was an aide in my room for a couple of hours a day. While I usually felt uncomfortable when other adults were in my room, I just totally enjoyed having Char there with me--and the kids enjoyed it, too. She just had that way of bringing out smiles and laughter wherever she was.... I know her family is really going to miss her--as will all who knew her. My prayers and thoughts go out to all of you.
