Charles Baerwald

Charles Baerwald, age 75, of Horicon passed away on Tuesday, August 5th, 2014 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon with Rev. Mark Hasty officiating. A vistiation for Chuck will be held on Saturday, August 9th from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church in Horicon. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.Chuck was born on January 3rd, 1939 in Horicon, the son of Emil and Flossie (Daubert) Baerwald. He was a 1956 graduate of Horicon High School. On July 11th, 1959 he married Lorraine Neitzel at Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon. In 1956 Chuck received his Journeyman Plumbing License. He worked for Marohl Plumbing and Heating from 1959-1969. In 1969 he went to Milwaukee and joined Plumbers Local #75. He retired in June of 1997.Chuck is survived by his wife of 55 years- Lorraine of Horicon. His children-Ken (Betty) Baerwald of Elkhorn, Dave (Tracy) Baerwald of Greenville, OH., Sharon Weber of Juneau, and Sandra Baerwald of Portland, OR. His 8 grandchildren- Craig, Keith, Kollin, Aaron, Megan, Justin, Jesse, and Olivia. 2 step grandchildren- Tara and Amber. 3 step great grandchildren- Paige, Levi, and Audrey. His 2 sisters- Lila Mae (Robert) Bachhuber and Charlotte Baerwald. His brother- Emil (Ione) Baerwald. His sister in law- Shirley Baerwald and brother in law- Chester Voight. Further survived by other relatives and friends.He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers- Lester, Leroy, James, and Marvin. His two sisters- Dorothy Baerwald and Phyllis Voight. 1 sister in law Helen Baerwald.
