Chet Linck, age 75, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and cousin, passed away at his home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 after a long illness. Funeral services for Chet will be at Harvest Ev. Free Church in Beaver Dam on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jason Wood officiating. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. There will be a time to greet the family at Old Hickory Country Club on Friday following the services. Chet was born on December 16, 1941 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Clarence and Emilie (Schepp) Linck. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School, attended Iowa State University, and graduated from University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Chet followed in his father’s footsteps with a career in road construction. He was the owner and operator of C.C. Linck, Inc for over 40 years. He retired in 2002. Chet also sat on the Board of Directors of the American National Bank and the Board of Directors of Ambanc Financial Services, Inc for 29 years. He retired from the board on December 8, 2016. Chet enjoyed working in his barn on all his cars and working with his tools. He always had a project going. He loved to drive and took several trips to Florida for relaxation. He had many happy times at their vacation home in Door County and was able to travel there this past summer for a last vacation. Chet is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen (Veling) Linck; son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Lori Linck of Antioch, IL; daughter, Erin Keen of Washington State; grandchildren, MacKenzie Keen, Jake and Josh Linck; sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Fred Veling; extended family members and close friends. Chet is also survived by his sisters, Phyllis (Nagler) and Virginia (Derber Bogard). He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence C. Linck and Emilie Linck. The Linck family wishes to thank their sister-in-law, Patty Veling for her unfailing and devoted care during Chet’s illness and Chet’s niece, Debbie Oien for the love and care she provided. They also wish to thank all the nurses and staff of Beaver Dam Hillside Hospice for their devoted care and guidance.

Karen and family, Linda and I sorry for your loss. Chet was a great neighbor and friend. I truly enjoyed our visits these past months. Broken ankle surgery Thursday prevented us attending. Condolences to the family.
