She’s in the sun, the wind, the rain,
she’s in the air you breathe
with every breath you take.
She sings a song of hope and cheer,
there’s no more pain, no more fear.
You’ll see her in the clouds above,
hear her whisper words of love,
you’ll be together before long,
until then, listen for her song.

Max & Ben
You may not remember Bob & me but you will always be part of our family.
We remember your mom most vividly as a woman who tried hard to be a good mom to Cameron and the two of you as small boys. That was when she brought you boys here to the farm at least once or twice every week over long spans of time, across several different years. At first it was just Cami, then Max and finally just Ben....all mixed with various times of all of you coming together.
Your mom did an amazing job of trying her very best to juggle the demands of providing for Cami's exceptionally high needs related to his CP, with each of your needs. Truly... heroic efforts.
I know you've each faced a lot since those early years and those beautiful memories from early childhood might feel impossible to access now, as you mourn her sudden death. But I want you to know that I believe your grandma Sheryl wants me to remind you of them now. (Your grandma was one of my soul sisters, sent by God so I would have sisters since my birth sister struggles similarly to your mom and could never be in a healthy relationship with me.)
Your grandma and I had many discussions about your mom's struggles after your brother died. I viewed those struggles as natural for a parent who buried a child. Parents are not supposed to outlive their children. It simply never feels normal or natural to ANYone when that happens.
That experience forever changed your mom...as it also changed your own. I truly admire your mom for how hard she tried to win her battle with the darkness left after Cami's death.
Your mom and I talked several times over the years and I know that the two of you gave her such deep joy. She was always proud of you, even if she expressed otherwise at times
Bob and I are here if you or anyone in your family needs us. Text me 608-347-2392 and we can schedule a call or visit here or closer to where you live.
We would love to host a picnic and tree planting here in honor of your mom and Grandma.... when weather is warm and your family is ready.

Look closely at the photo of you two playing with the hose ...it was taken in the picnic area at the farm.
Blessed Trails
