Christine Faye Morris, {nee Voight}, age 81, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Larson House in Columbus.
A memorial service for Christine will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jesse Gullion officiating. A visitation will be held at church on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.
Christine was born the daughter of Delmer and Audrey (Stephan) Voight on June 12, 1943, in Oshkosh. She was a graduate of Oshkosh High School and later went on to work in health care as a CNA. She was employed by Fond du Lac Health Care working with the mentally disabled and Broadway House caring for the mute. Christine was further employed by Franklin House in Fond du Lac where she loved cooking for the residents and endeavored to make it like home for all.
Christine had a love of music and a passion for cooking. In addition to her hobbies of coloring and knitting, she enjoyed attending plays and local concerts with friends and hosting small gatherings for game nights and camaraderie.
As a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, Christine made many friends whom she loved, and looked forward to Bible studies and fellowship.
Christine will best be remembered for her warm heart and wonderful sense of humor. She brought love and light to everyone she encountered.
Although she struggled with health issues her entire life, it was never an insurmountable barrier. Faith provided strength and a positive outlook. Christine had a gift. A gift she shared with many through her life here. Her gift of love, comfort, and support for those struggling with health issues and often in their final days, was immense and unlimited. Frequently hospitalized herself, Christine could be found happily chatting, joking, holding a hand, or just being present.
Even in her final days, Christine could be found providing love and support to her fellow residents at Larson House Memory Care.
Christine was dearly loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. Her memory will live on in hearts bringing a smile to the face of those she loved.
Christine is survived by her son William “Bill” (Heidi) Morris of North Carolina; grandson Michael Morris of Watertown; great grandchildren Hunter Morris and Harley Morris of Ohio and Damien Morris of Wyoming; her brother Richard “Rick” (Dottie) Voight and their daughter Halley of Portage; aunt Shirley Stephan of Oshkosh; and a plethora of friends (that means a lot)!
Christine was preceded in death by her grandparents; her parents; her brother Michael Neal in infancy; great grandson William “Billy” Walsdorf; and daughter-in-law Deborah Morris (Stroede).
