Clara Hartl, age 99, of Beaver Dam, died Monday, December 17, 2012 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Visitation for Clara will at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 511 S. Spring Street in Beaver Dam, be on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 9:30 AM to 10:50 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM. Fr. Michael J. Erwin will officiate. Burial will be at St. Michael”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
The former Clara Velnetske was born on October 2, 1913 in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Stanley and Rose Velnetske. She married Delbert Hartl on June 18, 1938. Clara worked at Wayland Academy for 17 years and at St. Patrick”s Hot Lunch Program for three years. Clara was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church and had been active in the St. Michael”s Rosary Society, The Good Samaritan Guild, and the Apostolate of the Suffering. She was also a volunteer at the Beaver Dam Care Center and a member of the Auxiliary Sharing and Caring.
Survivors include three sons, James Hartl of Beaver Dam, Marcus Hartl of Fox Lake, and Keith Hartl of Peoria, Illinois; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Clara was preceded in death by her husband Delbert in 1998; her parents; two sisters, Helen Neuman and Emily Roller; and one brother, Walter Velnetske.
