I was very saddened read about Dan's passing. We grew up on the same street in Minnesota and he was always a great friend and one of the truly "good guys" I have ever known. Dan was a big strong tough kid and always taking up for the underdog. I was three years younger than Dan but he treated me like an equal. I'll never forget the time he jumped between me and a great big bully who was trying to have some fun by pounding on me. Dan put a stop to that and I can tell you, he never even thought about bothering me again. I always hoped I would see Dan again and I am very sad to read this. God bless you Dan and God keep your family. I will see you down the road.
