Brigitte Fisch left a message on September 7, 2022:

I am so sorry to hear of Danny's death. I first met the family when both Michelle and I were about 5 years old, and our back yards were adjacent to each other's in Stoughton. We fast became friends. Liz and Danny were both welcoming to me flying in and out of the house, back door banging as we couldn't be contained inside for more than a few minutes. Later, when I moved to Madison and the Spears family moved to Beaver Dam, I visited many times, again Danny was always welcoming to me. I know that he has always been there for his girls, even though I haven't seen him in a long while. I lost my own dad years ago when I was seven, and again my mother several years later when I was in my 30s. My heart is breaking for the entire family. Brigitte

Danny always kept in touch with his friends and he was only a call away. He had the biggest heart. You are missed Mr. Bassman. The U.S. Silver Dollar Band members called Danny the "Booking Bandit" since he always kept our schedule filled and was relentless contacting owners, managers, and proprietors of the establishments we played. Deep Condolences to the Spears family and friends. Rest in Peace and "Rock On" in heaven, Danny.
