Dave C. Weinberger of Greenwood, South Carolina, born in Beaver Dam Wisconsin, has gone to his heavenly home on, March 6, 2025.
A Memorial Gathering for Dave will take place on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mayville with Rev. Fr. Ed Kornath conducting committal prayers.
Born on June 11, 1949, he was the son of the late Joseph and Delores Weinberger (Duncan). Retired from Chrysler Corporation in 2007.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife Cheri Weinberger (Kobishop).
He is survived by his wife Valeri Weinberger (Toth) (Greenville SC), his siblings, Rick (Elaine) Weinberger (N. Fond du Lac), Clara Weinberger (W.Allis), Jordan Weinberger (Tomahawk), Joan (Jim) Noren (Kewaskum), Beth (Russ) Hartwig (Beaver Dam), Laure (Wayne) Hartwig (Horicon), Jake (Judy) Weinberger (Mayville) and Peter (Wendy) Weinberger (Leroy); Sister- in- law Georgia (John) LaBomascus (Williams Bay), brothers- in- law Brian Kobishop (Mayville) and Todd (Jodi) Kobishop (Waupon). Stepchildren Stephani Itibrout, William Holcomb and April-Mary Holcomb and eight grandchildren. Also, many nieces and nephews.
Dave was a devout Catholic. He enjoyed his retirement by traveling, golfing with his buddies, cooking and woodworking. He will be missed by his wife, family and friends who loved him.
At his request, Dave will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Mayville WI. Next to Cheri.
The family especially thanks the staff at the Self Regional Hospital Cancer Center for their loving care of Dave over the past 1-1/2 years and the staff at Piedmont Hospice Home for their loving care that allowed him to move on peacefully.
