Services: A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mayville American Legion, Post #69, Mayville, WI with the Rev. James Mallmann officiating.
Visitation: A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 17 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. also at the Mayville American Legion. Military Rites will be conducted by the Horicon American Legion Post #157.
David E. Eggers, 66 years old, of N5428 24th Avenue, Lot 125, Wild Rose, WI, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the VA Hospital, Middleton, WI.

David was born on January 22, 1945 in Waupun to Joseph & Marie (Hunke) Eggers. Later he was married to Mary K. Walter in 1968. He was married to Helen M. Zimmel on July 14, 1984 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville. He was employed and retired from MEC as a welder.
David was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving in the Marines. He was member of the Horicon American Legion Post #157. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing bingo, woodworking, and the outdoors.
David is survived by his wife Helen of Wild Rose; his children; Eileen Sorgent of Mayville, Cecelia (special friend Gordon Weiss) Eggers of Mayville, John Eggers of Wild Rose; 7 step-children- Susan (Al) Schwantes of Beaver Dam, Sharon Geschke of Mayville, Linda Lohr of Mayville, Jeffery (Sheila) Wallendal of Horicon, Donald (Sherrie) Wallendal, Jr. of Mayville, David (special friend Toni) Wallendal of Mayville, Wendy (Keith) Kell of Theresa; sisters & brothers- Josie Priepke of Fond du Lac, Annie (Tom) Wells of Viola, WI, Pauline (Emil) Ronning of Fond du lac, Patricia Moses of Fond du Lac, Elaine (Don) Steger of Kewaskum, Joseph (Judy) Eggers of Fond du Lac, Joyce Schlefke of Oakfield, Grace (Leo) Clark of Waupun, Mary (Jim) Hilbert of Mayville, Arlene (Fritz) Weise of Theresa, James (Gloria) Eggers of Oakfield; 21 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters- Kitsy, Gladys, & Christine Marie; 2 brothers- Terry & Michael.
