David G. Barrientes

David G. Barrientes, 35, of Milwaukee, WI passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories of adventure, creativity and deep love for family and friends.

David was born the son of Bernabe Sr. and Kathleen E. (Phillips) Barrientes on December 2, 1988 in Waupun, Wisconsin. He was a 2007 graduate of Beaver Dam High School and received an Associate Degree from MATC as a mechanic. He had been employed at Gordie Boucher for over 10 years, where he became a master technician. He was loved by his fellow employees.

David had a strong personal Christian faith, where he often spoke of God and scripture with family or friends. He was known for his passion for the outdoors and enjoyed canoeing, kayaking and biking through nature. David’s love for planning trips with friends brought countless moments of joy, creating experiences that will forever be remembered. He was also a talented artist and loved to draw.

David cherished spending time with loved ones, especially enjoying brunches and other gatherings that brought everyone together.

David is survived by his father, Bernabe Barrientes Sr.; his siblings: Ellen Wojahn, Bernabe Barrientes Jr., (Jay) Keith (Charina) Barrientes, Tabitha Barrientes; and his girlfriend Holly Rupp.

He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen Barrientes.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 from noon until 1:00 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Jim Sherron officiating. Following the service David’s family invites all to the Girl Scout House, 800 Denning Ave, Beaver Dam to continue the Celebration of David’s Life with refreshments and an opportunity to share memories and stories.
