Dave Schultz, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Thursday, May 22.
His life was driven by passion, dedication, and an unwavering love for his family and community.
Dave was the proud owner and operator of Schultz Auto Body. As a master auto body technician for over 40 years, he earned a reputation for his exceptional craftmanship and work ethic. His hands could fix just about anything, and his customers trusted him not just with their vehicles, but with their stories.
Outside of the shop, Dave’s joy came from relaxing rides on his Harley with his wife, the thrill of the racetrack where he supported his brother, his son, and jumped behind the wheel himself. He had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Above all, Dave’s greatest passion was his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud grandpa, and supportive father.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Schultz of Beaver Dam; three children, Heather (Scott) Portner, Jessica (Dan) Oele, and Nicholas (Abby Klodowski Schultz) Schultz of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Maddison, Brielle, and Kase Portner, Harper Oele, Brayden Schultz, Jaxon Klodowski, and Finnley and Truitt Schultz two siblings, Jerry (Sherri) Schultz of Beaver Dam and Dawn (Kenneth) Grebel of Beaver Dam; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cindy Zaklan, Chris (Bill) Sutton, Tony (Cindy) Janz, Lori (Jon) Luck, Joe (Sheri) Janz, Pete (Dorothy) Janz, Annette (Dean) Brezinsky, and Jim (Deb) Janz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Lucille Schultz; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Lorraine Janz; and a brother-in-law, Dennis “Zak” Zaklan.
Dave’s legacy lives on in our hearts, the roar of an engine, a perfectly restored car, and a fast lap around the track. He is deeply missed but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to share memories and honor a life of a remarkable man. A visitation will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 4 PM -7 PM. The funeral service will follow on Thursday, May 29 at 11 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

I remember his great smile as he came to school functions for your children with great pride in their many accomplishments. My husband & I came to the visitation but I am so sorry we couldn't stay to greet you as we had another commitment.
