David R. Jones

David R. Jones, age 78, of Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. The memorial gathering will be a Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Sandra Schieble officiating. David Roy Jones was born on February 9, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Roy and Mabel (Beversdorf) Jones. He achieved a master’s degree in psychology and went on to teach in the Milwaukee Public Schools-South Division. Prior to teaching, David worked briefly for the Air National Guard. He taught P.E, Psychology and was the Drivers Ed teacher for many years. Even after his retirement in 2004, David continued teaching Drivers Ed. On February 14, 2011, David was united in marriage with Editha Choing in Portage, Wisconsin. In his down time he enjoyed traveling, to play golf and watch musical concerts. David will be missed by his wife, Edith of Beaver Dam; children, Brian (Marla) Jones of West Bend, David Jones of Illinois, Dawn Jones of Milwaukee, and Jeff (Jenny) Jones of Minnesota; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Damien (Amber), Noah, Michael David, Brooke and Brandon Jones; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
