For the little time that I knew Derrick he was definitely a bright, happy, and witty person that I could always go to for help.
My condolences to Derrick's family.
I will always remember his quick wit, his vast knowledge of all things I had questions about and his patience. Rest in Peace, Derrick.
Derrick was the epitome of knowledge and true professionalism, and was, as already mentioned very witty. I remember one day during the pandemic on a Friday. He was offering me one on one virtual training, and I was struck by how patient he was answering my questions one by one. There will never be another one like him. Rest in Peace, Derrick.

Derrick was truly one in a million. He wit & sense of humor was undeniable. I used to tell all the time he was my at work brother, cause him and I would aggravate each other like siblings do. He was a pleasure to work with. Fly high my special friend.
I remember Derrick well growing up as 1st cousins - it has been too long since I last saw him but I will always remember his fun and happy personality. My condolences to his family.
Derrick, I will cherish our memories for a lifetime. You’d roll your eyes at me for getting sappy, and that will always makes me smile. Your dark humor and strong presence brought so much light to this world. Thank you for being who you are so unwaveringly, and for showing us what it meant to be true to yourself. I will always be looking up to you and leaning to you for comfort. Watch over us - we miss you dearly.
