Diane E. Braunschweig

Diane E. Braunschweig, age 67, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 13, 2019. Visitation for Diane will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 22nd at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau. A funeral service will follow at church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Brandt officiating. Interment will take place at Lowell Cemetery in Lowell. Diane Esther Neitzel was born on October 24, 1951 in Theresa, WI, the daughter of Roland and Lyla (Breitag) Neitzel. She was baptized on November 11, 1951 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Lomira, WI and was confirmed into her faith on April 4, 1965. Diane was a 1970 graduate of Mayville High School and after graduation she worked for West Bend Company until her marriage. On November 4, 1972 she was united in marriage with Wayne Braunschweig at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Lomira, WI. Together they made their home outside of Reeseville where Diane was a mother to her seven children and a daycare provider. Diane also worked for PJ’s Restaurant for 18 years. Upon her husband retirement, Diane and Wayne moved to Beaver Dam. Diane was a faithful member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Juneau. Diane enjoyed traveling; she went to San Fransisco, New York City, a Caribbean cruise with her daughters and a road trip to Colorado with her husband. She enjoyed musicals, whether on Broadway in NYC, or at the Fireside. She enjoyed going rummaging with Wayne, taking long walks and playing bingo. Most of all Diane loved the time she spent with family, babysitting and playing with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her husband Wayne of Beaver Dam; her six children: Mandy Braunschweig of Juneau, Nicole Braunschweig of Waterloo, Danielle (Matthew) Rupp of Sullivan, Penni (James) Gleason of Chilton, Corey (Sarah) Braunschweig of Beaver Dam and Rebecca (Brandon) Rennhack of Reeseville, her siblings; Dorothy Kleemann of Watertown, Roy Neitzel of Mayville, and Darlene Neitzel of Mayville, 17 grandchildren; Connor, Chase, Callie, Lexi, Tristin, Rylee, Charley, Owen, Breanna, Aiden, Jayda, Isaiah, Paris, London, Kingston, Millie and Ireland. Diane is further survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her daughter; Michelle Braunschweig, her parents, her parents-in-law; Reinhold and Rosa Braunschweig, two brothers; Kenneth and James Neitzel, brothers-in-law; Roger Kleemann and John Fabisch, sisters-in-law; Jean Fabish and Betsy Neitzel, and two nephews; Stephen Neitzel and David Braunschweig. If desired memorials may be directed to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran School in Juneau.
