God called his faithful servant Dolores Minnie Marlock unto him on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at the Mayville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Friends and family may gather for a visitation on Monday, April 23, 2007 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon. Funeral Services for Dolores will be held at 11:00 AM at the church with Rev. Mark Hasty officiating. Burial will follow the services at Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.
The former Dolores Minnie Plageman was born on February 22, 1919 to Louis Sr. and Hattie (Schwantes) Plagemen. She graduated from Horicon High School in 1937 and was Horicon”s Beauty Queen that year. On December 16, 1939 she married her life partner, Anthony “Tony” Marlock and they were married for 59 years. Dolores and Tony owned and operated the Horicon City Dairy. She also worked at Schnider”s, Bossman”s Drug Store and at the Horicon Public School. She enjoyed bowling and also loved playing Royal Rummy with the girls. Dolores was an amazing woman and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Dolores is survived by her three daughters, Mary Ann Thoreson, Horicon, Patricia (Donald Sr.) Schwanke, Horicon and Madelyn Lazich, Milwaukee, her 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Madeline Von Wald, Burnsville, MN, a brother, Orville (Ruth) Plageman, Omaha, NE, a sister-in-law, Florence Plageman, Horicon, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tony on April 8, 1998, her parents, her father-in-law, Joseph Marlock, a sister, Sylvia Muller and two brothers, Louis Plageman, Jr. and Donald Plageman.
