Donald E. Skalitzky, age 79, died Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Juneau. Donald was born on June 24, 1940 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late Franklin and Mabel (Poetter) Skalitzky. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1958. Donald was drafted into the US Army in the early 1960’s and was stationed in Germany. Throughout his life, he held several jobs including driving truck, caretaker for several apartment buildings, and he served as a custodian at Wilson Elementary School in Beaver Dam. Donald is survived by daughter Debbie (Rick) Schilling of Columbus; a son Jason (Caitlyn) Skalitzky of Wausau; four grandchildren, Amber, Colin, Lydia and Oliver; one brother, Eugene (Irene) Skalitzky from Columbus; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lester, Alvin, Arlene Kruger, and Betty Hodgkins; sisters-in-law, Joyce Crinion and Ruth Skalitzky; brothers-in-law, Adolph Kruger and Fayette Hodgkins.
