Donald H. Plageman, age 79, of Horicon, died Monday, February 5, 2007 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

Friends may call at St. Mary”s Catholic Church in Mayville on Friday, February 9, 2007 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at church on Friday, beginning at 2:00 PM. Fr. Tom Biersack and Fr. Charles Wester will concelebrate the mass. Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.

Donald Herbert Plageman was born on November 30, 1927 in Horicon, Wisconsin, the son of the late Louis and Hattie (Schwantes) Plageman. On July 14, 1971, he was united in marriage with Florence Bonlender in Juneau, Wisconsin. Don worked at John Deere Horicon Works for over 40 years. He was a member of the John Deere Spitfires and the I.O.O.F. Lodge #87. Don was also a member of St. Mary”s Catholic Church in Mayville and the Senior Center in Juneau. Don ran the time clock for the Horicon High School Basketball team for 32 years. He loved to do things with his wife, especially traveling, playing cards and going dancing. In his younger years, Don was an avid bowler.

Mary Plageman of Beaver Dam and
Elizabeth (Donald) Schumacher of Beaver Dam
two sons Robert Plageman of Milwaukee and
Richard Plageman of Beaver Dam
four grandchildren Tony Plageman and
Crystal and Cody Schumacher, and
Jacob Plageman
two sisters Madeline VonWald of Burnsville, Minnesota and
Delores Marlock of Mayville
a brother Orville (Ruth) Plageman of Nebraska
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Sylvia Mueller, his brother, Louis Plageman, three brothers-in-law, Robert VonWald, Fred Mueller and Anthony Marlock, and a sister-in-law, Wilma Plageman.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Donald Plageman”s name to St. Mary”s Catholic Church in Mayville or to the charity of your choice.
