Donetta Mutz

Mrs. Donetta M. Mutz, of Fond du Lac, formerly of Lomira passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at the St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac.A funeral service for Donetta will take place on Saturday, December 1 at 11 a.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville. A visitation will take place from 9:30 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 1 at the funeral home in Mayville. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac.Donetta was born the daughter of Peter and Sylvia (Goeden) LaFlex on February 21, 1933. She was a graduate of Cedarburg High School. Donetta was united in marriage to Edward A. Mutz on October 18, 1952 at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Brown Deer, WI. Donetta farmed with her husband and family in the township of Lomira. She also worked at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac as a home health aide and also with the adult day care services. In her spare time, Donetta enjoyed traveling with her husband and playing sheepshead. Donetta is survived by her children- Kathleen Plaskey of Lomira, Cheryl (Archie) Serwe of Brownsville, and Michael Mutz of Waupun. Her brother- Robert LaFlex of Port Washington. Brother in law- Kent Schneider of Burlington. Her grandchildren- Adam (Nailya) Plaskey, Dr. Jessica Serwe, Ryan (Melinda) Serwe, Steven (Jr.) Santiago, and Laura (Matt) Jacob. Her great grandchildren- Elina, Leila, Alan, Ava, Gabriella. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward in 2016, daughter Kristine, sister Judith Schneider, and sisters and brother in law- Frieda LaFlex, Gertrude (Joseph) Fox.Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
