Doris Mae Rettschlag

October 15, 1919 - June 6, 2007

Doris Mae Rettschlag, age 87, of Beaver Dam, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 06, 2007 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 8, 2007, at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home on Friday, June 8, 2007 at 7:00 PM with Rev. Bob Castro officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Clyman on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 10:00 AM.
The former Doris Mae Heinzelman was born on October 15, 1919 in Juneau, the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Eisfelt) Heinzelman. On May 11, 1940, she was united in marriage to Arthur A. Rettschlag in Clyman. He preceded her in death. She was later married to Lloyd Spinner in February of 1989, who also preceded her in death.
Doris loved to spend time with her family and they were the center of her life. She loved to garden, play cards, go camping and visit with her friends. She was a member of St. John”s Lutheran Church of Beaver Dam and lived in the Dodge County area all of her life.
Survivors include her two sons, Arthur R. (Sandy) Rettschlag and Kenneth (Carol) Rettschlag both of Beaver Dam, her four grandchildren, Lisa (Craig) Hoffman, Michelle (Phil) Schneider, Andrew Rettschlag and Andrea Rettschlag all of Beaver Dam, her five great grandchildren, Bradley, Nathan and Jessica Schneider, Lukas and Kadon Hoffman, her special friend, Nancy Voelker of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Arthur A. Rettschlag, her second husband, Lloyd Spinner, her son, Donald, her infant daughter, Judith, and her sister, Irma Will.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Doris Rettschlag”s name to the Hillside Hospice Program.
