Duane D. Roeseler

Duane Douglas Roeseler 89, of Hustisford was born into eternal life December 6, 2025.

Funeral Services for Duane will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church in Hustisford with Rev. Jonathan Loescher officiating. A visitation for Duane will be held at church on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, interment will be held at Hustisford Cemetery in Hustisford.

Duane was born March 2, 1936, in Hustisford to Henry “Hank” Roeseler, and Lucile (Grosenick) Roeseler. Duane grew up working on farms, and the family hardware store which he owned & operated until closing the doors in 2000. Duane graduated from Hustisford High School in 1954. On December 21, 1957, he met the love of his life Helen Breska at a dance in Hartford. The two were married less than a year later on November 2, 1958, and for the next sixty-seven years they danced together.

Duane served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960, and during this time they welcomed their first child Kathy in Nuremberg, Germany. Back stateside they welcomed their next child Bonny, and eventually David. Duane was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church as his relationship with the Lord was an integral part of his life.

When he wasn’t working, Duane enjoyed playing softball, horseshoes, golf, trap shooting, hunting, playing hand and foot, travel with his family, and friends. Listening to music, and dancing with Helen, and his family on the back patio whenever he had the chance. Duane was also an active member of the Hustisford Volunteer Fire Department for twenty years. Oh yeah; he was also a fan of the Brewers, Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers. Duane had a good sense of humor all throughout his life, and even in later years when his legs didn’t work like they used to people would ask him how he was doing. He would say; “I’m doing good, but that’s just my opinion”.

Duane will be deeply missed by his loving wife Helen; his children: Kathy Roeseler (Hustisford), Bonny Roeseler (husband Joseph Langenecker) (Dundee, WI.), and David Roeseler (Hustisford); Grandson Nathan Hart (wife Angelique Mercado) Mount Airy, NC. Granddaughter Crystal Hart (Andy Powell) Neosho, WI. Grandson Dustin Neuendorf (wife Erin Hanson) Leroy, WI. Grandson Tanner (fiancé Megan Helmer) Plymouth, WI. Great Grandchildren Logan, Ethan, Emmalyn, Khloe, Zian, Falynn, Caysen, Leah & Kyle. Sister-in-law Bette Lundquist, New Port, FL., Niece Chrissey Lendt New Port Richey, FL. And lastly the toaster he and Helen received as a wedding present.

Duane was preceded in death by his father Henry, his mother Lucile, and sister Joyce.
