Elaine B. Koehn

Elaine B. Koehn, age 88 of Beaver Dam died Saturday, May 9, 2026.

There will be a memorial gathering for Elaine at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Will Arnld will officiate. Inurnment will be at St. Peter Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Elaine was born on September 18, 1937, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late Alfred and Arlene (Filzen) Gocker. She graduated high school from Wayland Academy in 1955. Elaine was a dedicated employee of the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen Newspaper for 38 years. She also enjoyed singing in both the Sunday Choir and the New Life Funeral Choir at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church where she was a life-time member. One of Elaine’s favorite pastimes was playing cards; her favorite game was sheepshead. She played at many local places around Beaver Dam, but she always looked forward to the Wednesday afternoon game at her house. Elaine also loved flowers and typically grew so many that she gave them away.

Survivors include her three children, Daniel Koehn (special friend Jill Wissell), Sue Koehn, and Karen (Barry) Hanamann, all of Beaver Dam; six grandchildren, Paula (Ronald Kirby, and his daughter, Kendra) Koehn, Jessica Koehn, Melissa Westover, Dustan (Jen) Minnig, and Brendan and Andrew (Ashley) Nenno; eight great grandchildren, Austin Koehn, Tristan Janke, Edward Over, Brayden Over, Haley Minnig, Nora Mining, Shaelynn Nenno, and MacKenzie Herder; other relatives and friends. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; a great grandson, Michael; and her brother, Don Gocker.

If desired, memorials may be made in Elaine Koehn’s name to St. Katharine Drexel School Endowment Fund.
