Eleanor M. Anderson (Weber), age 81, formerly of Horicon, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at the Woodland Health Care Center in Brookfield.
Friends and family may call at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Friday, November 10, 2006 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A brief service will follow at the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.
The former Eleanor Milda Karstedt was born on November 4, 1925 in the Town of Williamstown, Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late Edward and Leora (Neitzel) Karstedt. On August 14, 1954, she was united in marriage with Clifford Weber in Mayville. Eleanor worked in the Dale Carnegie program for many years. She had been active with the Foster Grandparents of Fond du Lac and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, St. Agnes Hospital Auxiliary, and the Hope Lutheran Ladies Guild, all in Fond du Lac. After Eleanor moved to Menomonee Falls, she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and helped in the economy store that the church operated.
Survivors include three children, Sandra Weber of Kenosha, Douglas Weber of Waukegan, IL and Gary Weber of Delafield, two sisters, Joyce (Alfred) Duffy of Juneau, Eldine Mast of Florida, a brother-in-law, Harvey Gietzel of Horicon, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four sisters, Evelyn Klatt, Alexa Koehler, Leora Puestow and Carol Gietzel.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Eleanor Anderson”s name to the American Diabetes Association.
