Elizabeth J. 'Betty' Bennett

Elizabeth J. ‘Betty’ Bennett, age 89 of Horicon passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020.Betty was born the daughter of Thomas and Florence (Bushman) McNamee on August 14, 1930. She was united in marriage to Gilbert F. Bennett on April 28, 1951 in Watertown. Betty enjoyed working with her daughter Debra at Bennett’s Garden Center for over 25 years, as plants and flowers were her passion. She loved to garden and cooking for her family. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.She is survived by her loving husband Gilbert Bennett of Horicon. Her children- Debra Bennett of Horicon and Andrew (Jill) Bennett of Horicon. Her siblings- Mary (Don) Lyons of Mauston, Mike (Irene) McNamee of Wausau, and Anette McNamee of Madison. Her grandchildren- Matthew Bennett Kinnard, Jason (Rachael) Bennett, and Ryan (Carine) Bennett. Her great grandchildren- Lucas, Amelia, and Teddy. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Josephine, and brothers Joseph, Patrick, Paul, and Harland.Inurnment will take place at a later date in St. Malachy Cemetery in Horicon.Memorial may be directed for the family to Koepsell Funeral Home, 301 N.
