Esther Raye Kolinski, age 66, of Mayville, passed away on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend. Esther went peacefully in her sleep shortly after being diagnosed with a very rare type of cancer.
A memorial service for Esther will be held at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville on Friday, September 5th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Mark G. Cutler officiating. Esther was born the daughter of Charlotte Strout, and Ellis MacArthur on July 11th, 1959, in Calais, Maine. Esther was part of a very big, loving, and one-of-a-kind family with her Stepparents, (Ruby MacArthur and Arnold Sowers Sr.) Two Brothers (Allard McArthur and Richard McArthur) Two Step Brothers (Brad Kneeland and Jamie McArthur) Two Sisters (Sandra Merritt and Laura Lee Martin) Five Step Sisters (Michelle Paige, Peggy Avery, Diane Kneeland, Jill Fullerton, and Christine Fullerton) Six Nieces (Brittany Mulheron, Jennifer Fullerton, Devon McCormick, Lisa Kneeland, Heather Martin, and Monica Martin) Four Nephews (Robert Barter, Tom Merritt, Jason Martin, and Brent Martin). Esther had one son (Mark Sowers) and one Grandson (William Sowers) whom she loved spending time with. I apologize if anyone was forgotten.
She grew up and lived in Maine for the first half of her life, attending Woodland High School. She loved going to Pleasant Lake to go swimming and have fun with friends and family. In 1996 Esther moved to Wisconsin where she met her loving husband, Michael Kolinski. They were married on August 8th, 1997, and we’re happily married for 28 years.
Esther loved to collect Coins, Sports Cards, Stamps, and a variety of other things. She loved to go to the Casino and play the slot machines with her Husband Mike, and her Son Mark. She loved classic rock music, and anything to do with Princess Diana and the Royal Family. She could remember every single fact about any Celebrity and could just talk about that kind of stuff for hours. Esther loved animals also and was always smiling when she would feed the rabbits, squirrels, and birds.
Esther was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend who had a Heart of Gold, and a Wacky Personality. She will be forever missed, forever loved, and forever remembered as someone who touched the lives of so many.
