Eugene Robert ‘Pa Gene’ Kriehn age 78 of Lomira, Wisconsin passed away Tuesday, March 1st, 2016 at his home.A memorial service for Eugene will take place on Friday, March 11 at 4 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville with the Rev. Mark Wilkens officiating. A visitation will take place on Friday, March 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the church. Eugene was born March 9th, 1937 in Marathon County, son of the late Erwin and Olga (Gruling) Kriehn.In Eugene’s younger years he worked at Fromm Bros. Marathon County and Anson and Gilkey Co. in Merrill, Wisconsin. He worked at Mayville Engineering Company (MEC) from March 1969 until March 1999 when he retired. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, going to the Brewer and Packer games. Eugene enjoyed doing his craft work with wood and will fondly be remembered as a skilled winemaker who shared his prized wine with family and friends. Most of all Eugene enjoyed his family and the time spent with them.Survivors include his Children, Brian Kriehn of Waukesha, Douglas Kriehn, of Mayville Sally (Raymond) McNeary of Georgia, Christine (Fred) Jones of Williams Bay, Thomas (Lisa) Kriehn of Florida, Sherri (Perry) Whitty of Fond du Lac, Carol Petri of Knowles, Jackie (Phil) Marheine of Merrill, Norm (Renee) Petri of Mayville, Kelly ( Terry) Westberg of Brantwood, and Tracy (Mark) Hintz of Beaver Dam. 26 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Two brothers Gerald (Judy) Kriehn of Merrill and Ronald (Mary Lou) Kriehn of Merrill. One sister Dawn Kleinschmidt of Merrill. Futher survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara, one infant daugther Julie Kriehn, one infant brother Victor Kriehn, one son Dennis Petri, one daughter -in-law Kathleen Kriehn, and one brother-in-law Jack Kleinschmidt.
