Evangeline Elvira Koll, age 94, of Theresa, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Serenity Villa in Campbellsport.
Funeral Services for Evangeline will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Theresa with Rev. Hugo Ugalde- Bemer officiating. A visitation for Evangeline will be held at church on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Following the service, interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Theresa.
Evangeline was born the daughter of William and Amanda (Weber) Martin on July 2, 1931, in the town of Wayne. She was united in marriage to Paul Koll on October 5, 1957, in Theresa. Together the two farmed in the town of Theresa for many years.
Evangeline was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Theresa. She was very active in her church community and was a member of the ladies’ aid, altar guild, and a custodian. Evangeline was a member of the Theresa Historical Society and Theresa Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was on the village of Theresa Election Board and won Theresa Citizen of the Year in 2000.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She was famous for her German potato salad, cream puffs, and Schaum torte.
Evangeline took great pride in her beautiful gardens and flowers and looked forward to traveling with her husband Paul.
Evangeline is survived by her children: Martin (Cynthia) Koll of Shalimar, Florida and Brian (Lynn) Koll of Theresa; her three grandchildren: Nicole (Mike) Gierach, Ashley Koll, and Chief Petty Officer Bradley Koll of San Diego, California; and her two great-grandchildren: Braeden and Piersen. Evangeline is further survived by other dear relatives and friends.
Evangeline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul in 2019; her son Darryl Koll; and her daughter-in-law Sharon Koll.
In Memory of Evangeline, memorials may be directed to St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Theresa and the Theresa Historical Society.
Evangeline’s family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Serenity Villa in Campbellsport for the compassionate care shown to Evangeline in the last two years.
