Evelyn C. Hensler, age 85, of Reeseville, died on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the Beaver Dam Care Center.
Visitation for Evelyn Hensler will be on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Salem Ev. Lutheran Church in Lowell. Funeral service will follow the visitation at the Church on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 2:00 PM. Rev. Paul Vander Galien will officiate. Burial will be in the Lowell Cemetery.
The former Evelyn Cecilia Pickhardt was born on August 26, 1920 in the Town of Courtland, Columbia County, the daughter of Richard and Mary (Brodkorb) Pickhardt. On September 27, 1941 she was united in marriage to Fred Hensler in Reeseville. Evelyn was a member of the Lowell Homemakers and the Dodge County Extension and served in several officer positions in both organizations. She was also member of Salem Ev. Lutheran Church and served as both president and vice president of the Ladies Aid.
She is survived by her two sons; Richard (Barbara) Hensler of Oregon and Ronald (Charlotte) Hensler of Custer; and her five grandchildren, Michael (Abby), Matthew, Christopher, Heather and Camille Hensler; her two brothers, Richard Pickhardt of Town of Portland and Charles (Barbara) Pickhardt of Madison; her two sisters, Dorothy (Fred) Lambert of Beaver Dam and Lucille (Tom) Dallman of Wauwatosa, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1997 and her sister, Gertrude Yerges.
