Frances A. Zellar, age 89 died Monday, June 8, 2026, at her home in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for Frances will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, June 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Will Arnold officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery.
Frances Ann Hanson was born on November 22, 1936, in LaCrosse, Wisconsin to John and Mary (nee Palavoda) Hanson. On February 1, 1969, she was married to Carlton l. Zellar in Waukon, Iowa. After moving to Beaver Dam, she worked at Willow Foods until she retired in the late 1990’s. Frances was one of the most caring people you could meet. She was always willing to help anyone in need. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish.
Survivors include her son, Karlton Zellar of Beaver Dam; five grandchildren, Dakota Zellar, Levi Rabehl, Dillon Zellar, Megan Zellar, and Stephanie Pike, all of Beaver Dam; six great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carlton on March 31, 2005, a son, LaMont “Monty” Pike; five brothers and two sisters.

I am saddened yo hear of Fran passing. I have fond memories of her and Carlton. Karlton and I hung out quite often as kids. I stayed overnight several times. She was always so kind to me. I'm truly sorry Karlton, your mom was a wonderful person always.
