Fred A. Fields

Freddie A. “Fred” Fields, 80, of Beaver Dam passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 with his family by his side. Fred was born the son of William and Ida (Kutz) Fields on July 4, 1937 in Byron, WI. He graduated from the Wisconsin School for the Blind & Visually Handicapped in Janesville. Fred was married to Alice Brochu on June 15, 1968 in Slinger, WI. Fred was employed as a piano tuner in the Milwaukee and Beaver Dam areas for many years. Fred was a member of Faith Community Church in Beaver Dam. He was a sports fan especially the Brewers, Badgers and Packers. Fred even invented his own baseball card game. He loved to listen to old radio shows. Fred was a wise man of strong faith with a deep love of his family. Fred is survived by his wife, Alice of Beaver Dam; his daughters: Mary (Curtis) Berkenpas of Hartley, IA and Holly (Scott) Kooiman of Beaver Dam; his son, Timothy (Janna) Fields of Beaver Dam; 10 grandchildren: Tyron, Lucas, Logan, and Victor Berkenpas, Abby and Emma Kooiman, and Weston, Natalie, Elizabeth, and Grant Fields; his brother, Richard (Georgia) Fields of Horicon; two sisters: Lorinda (Larry) Farnsworth of Columbus and Caroline Gotchy of Sheboygan; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Hilda Fields; and his brother, Kenneth Fields. A visitation will be held at Faith Community Church in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. (noon). Rev. Larry Meyer will officiate. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
