Gary Miszewski has gone to be with his Lord and Savior to his heavenly home on June 30, 2024. He was born in Wisconsin on March 11, 1938, to the late Walter and Grace (Olson) Miszewski. Gary was a loving husband to his beloved first wife, Kathy Miszewski before her death in 1986. They had three daughters, Carolyn Fitzgerald, dearly departed Sandy (Larry) Ratz, and Sheri (Richard) Lathrop. They were wonderful, loving parents who cared for and loved their children very much. Mom, Dad and Sandy, you are greatly missed, but by the grace of God, we will see you again.
Gary was also preceded in death by his second wife Phyllis (Seeley) Miszewski who lost her battle to cancer in 2010. Phyllis had two grown children, daughter Karla Seeley and son, Scott (Jane) Seeley whom he cared for and loved very much. Many fond memories will be with them forever.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Dennis, Glen, and Wally, Jr., Miszewski and sisters, Belita (Miszewski) Ontiveros and Linda (Miszewski) Gall ; sister-in-law Lois Miszewski, and brothers-in-law, Jim Gomez, James Travis, and Danny and Pauly Trawitzki; and nephews Joey Gomez and Kenny Miszewski.
Gary is survived by his sisters, Deanna Gomez, Sue (Dale) Bonack, sisters-in-law, Teresa (Terri) Miszewski and Marilyn (Roman) Pampuch and brothers-in-law, Michael Gall and Lupe Ontiveros . He is also survived by countless caring and loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, including his dear friend of many years, Sandra Schultz.
Many fond memories were made during his lifetime with all of his relatives, family and friends. He was always adding to another chapter in his book. From Eagle River to Mount Morris, to Browns Lake, to Fox Lake, from Canada to Florida, he loved it all. He enjoyed fishing, waterskiing, boating, camping, family parties, and singing. After working as a City of Milwaukee Engineer for many years, his retirement was filled with more fishing, stories and music. Gary loved to sing to everyone. From the delivery driver to in-home nurses, he’d turned the sessions into song. His love for singing was something he shared with his family for many years.
