Gerald Francis Adelmeyer, 77 years old, of Theresa, was blessed to leave this world on June 29, 2016 and go to his eternal home in heaven. He was surrounded by his family on the Adelmeyer homestead.He spent his life building the farm, cultivating the land, fertilizing the lives of others with his love of God, and harvesting a God-fearing, hardworking family.Gerald was born August 4, 1938, in Theresa. He married Rose Mary Feucht on April 4, 1964 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Leroy. They spent their life together raising their family and farming Adelmeyer Farms.He is remembered by his community and church family in many ways including his service on the St. Theresa’s Church Board, as a Catholic Order of Foresters Youth Leader and Officer, a Dodge County Supervisor, an FFA Alumni member, and Town of Theresa Constable.He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Mary of 52 years. He will be dearly missed by his children and their families: Brian (Lisa) and Joshua (fiancé Callie Fohrman), Joseph and Abigale Adelmeyer of Theresa; Brenda (Jeff) and Michael & Jennifer Elsinger of Lomira; Dean (Jennifer) and Elizabeth, Emily, Jacob & Anneliese Adelmeyer of Theresa; Diane (Dennis) and Drew & Derek Schweiger of Plymouth; and Mary Lynn (Chris) and Makena & Josie Christian of Lomira; His sisters; Margaret Faber of Eden Prairie, MN., and Carole (Roger) Wilde of Phoenix, AZ., as well as many other family members and friends, and his special dog Chubs.He was preceded to his heavenly home by his parents, Adelbert and Rose (Adelmeyer) Marion, and his in-laws Lawrence and Viola Feucht.A celebration of Jerry’s life will begin at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church on Saturday, July 2nd with a visitation from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 2:30 p.m., at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Theresa, with the Rev. Father Tom Biersack celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow at St Theresa’s Cemetery in Theresa.The family would like to thank all their family and friends for their visits, gifts, well wishes and prayers during this time. They would also like to extend their gratitude to Father Tom, the caring staff of Agnesian Home Health and Hospice Care, Agnesian Cancer Center, and the Koepsell Funeral Home for their kindness and compassion.

Bruce Steger; I remember my first meeting of Jerry when he came into our driveway with his go-cart! He flew in and spun sideways stopping in front of my Dad & I. I was a kid and just ogled this guy with this fun toy! Our family and his worked together helping each other when some problem arose or to get a harvest in before it rained.
