Geraldine (Gerry) Weiss, 91, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at her current home, Hope Senior Living, in Lomira.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge with the Rev. Larry Mose officiating. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 20th from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Iron Ridge. A luncheon will follow the burial in the gym at St. Matthew’s.
Geraldine was born on March 24, 1931, in the Town of Theresa to Richard and Amilda (Neumann) Fink. She was a 1949 graduate of Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac. She was united in marriage to Earl W. Weiss on May 27, 1951 at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Kekoskee, WI. The couple farmed in the Town of Hubbard near Iron Ridge until Earl’s death on Nov. 18, 2013. Gerry also worked at various part-time jobs through the years while raising their four children.
She was a faithful member of St. Matthew’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge serving on the Ladies Aid for many years. She was a member of the Iron Ridge Fire Department Auxiliary, and a long-time member of Dodge County HCE (Homemakers). She was a member of the Golden Youth Seniors group, and loved to play cards whenever she had the chance.
Geraldine is survived by her daughters Diane (Donald) Koch of Mayville, Gloria (Robert) Lukasiewicz of Fort Atkinson, Ruth (David) Mamerow of Iron Ridge, and son Neil (Julie) Weiss of Iron Ridge; her 14 grandchildren Steven (Jenny) Koch, Valerie (fiancé Mark Sielaff) Traylor, Pamela (Al) lwen, Trisha (Eric) Barber, Kristin Lukasiewicz, Sara (Ian Schwandt) Lukasiewicz, Mike (Laura) Mamerow, Lindy (Mike) Frechette, Andrea (Josh) McDermott, Matt (Nicole) Straveler, Melissa (Nick) Gudex, Amy (Randy) Mihalko, Tammy (Zach) Young, and Kimberly (Dave) Fine; her 26 great-grandchildren Amelia, Bethany, Autumn, Thomas, Tia, Maria, Elliot, Claire, Katlyn, Becca, Jillian, Declan, Benjamin, Carter, Allie, Easton, Evelyn, Eleanor, Emily, Lily, Cassandra, Jonathon, Aubrey, Keegan, Logan, Caleb; her sister Arlene Bonack and brother Richard (Dorothy) Fink; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by three sisters and a brother, all who died in infancy; her parents; her husband Earl; her brother-in-law Gerald Weiss and wife Liz; her sister-in-law Phyllis Bogenschneider and husband Willard; and her brother-in-law, Gilbert Bonack.

Memorials may be directed to the St. Matthew’s church refurbishment fund or to Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
